Dear Friends,

For many years the children of St. Aloysius Catholic School have been dreaming of a safe, interactive, engaging playground. 

A children’s playground is vitally important, providing opportunities for friendship and energy release. The new playground will be designed to promote a range of social, motor, and physical skills. Seeking input from the children and teachers at St. Aloysius, the playground committee will work with professionals to develop the overall design of the outdoor space. All equipment and installation will adhere to strict safety regulations.

In the age of the iPad, outdoor exercise is as crucial as ever for developing balance, muscle strength, and hand-eye coordination. We want to continue to foster an active childhood by making play exciting for our students and children in the community.

To raise money, for the Joe C. Knight Memorial Playground, we will host our annual 5K for Play on Saturday, May 4, 2024. The event includes a 5k walk/run, food trucks, raffle baskets, outdoor activities, and music by DJ Brian. At this time, we are seeking raffle item donations and monetary contributions. With your help, we can reach our goal of $50,000. Any donation you can make, no matter how large or small, is greatly appreciated.
